| PALESTINIAN NONVIOLENT RESISTANCE From a voice rarely heard in the U.S. -- a Palestinian who is organizing nonviolent resistance to the occupation and the Separation Wall on the ground Mansour Mansour West Bank, Occupied Territories (Popular Committee Against the Wall and International Solidarity Movement Coordinator) BARNARD COLLEGE, 304 BARNARD HALL 117th St. and Broadway MONDAY, MAY 2ND -- 7 PM Mansour Mansour is the local coordinator for the ISM, a Palestinian-led movement dedicated to nonviolent resistance to the Occupation, and the Popular Committee Against the Wall in Biddu, a small farming community outside Jerusalem. Biddu has been at the center of nonviolent resistance to the building of the Separation Wall, having held over 50 demonstrations and influenced an Israeli Supreme Court decision that held against the Wall as it was planned. The Wall in its current plan is set to cut off more than 50% of Biddu's land and completely encircle Biddu and surrounding villages, cutting them off from both Jerusalem and Ramallah, their economic, educational and religious centers.
